MTS Blitz-MM 2026
Following two runner-up finishes behind SV Hofheim in the previous years, this year's edition saw our team successful again. After a tight race, our first team crowned itself as MTS Blitz champions again and continued a streak of 8 out of 10 titles between 2013 and 2023, which was then interupted by SV Hofheim. We extend our congratulations to our winning team. With this result, our club also secured the start of two teams at the the upcoming Hessian Blitz team championships 2026.
Our quadriga of Hendrik Zimmermann, Oliver Uwira, Naren Kumar and Niklas Nachmann only stumbled in the first round, when they were still warming up, and lost 1.5:2.5 to our second team. After that, they woke up and showed their true strength. They lived up to their role as favorites (average rating 1997) and prevailed against all competitors more or less clearly. Hendrik Zimmermann's performance at the top board was particularly noteworthy, as he scored 12:0 points and maintained a spotless record. This corresponded to a performance rating of 2522 - Bravo! Niklas Nachmann also deserves recognition for his 10.5:1.5 points, which was the best result on board 4.
Surprisingly, the team of Sfr. Kelkheim finished as runners-up. In third place followed the previous year's winner SV Hofheim, who competed without their Bundesliga stars this year. Both teams are also qualified for the Hessian championship.

Our second team (Mario Rutsatz, Sven Perlitz, Walter Gräbner and Christof Goll) could not quite meet their expectations. Mario and Walter were in poor health and played below par. At least Sven achieved the second-best result on board 2. The team finished in the midfield at 6th place.
