This year, Schachclub 1961 König Nied will again be present at the yearly Nieder Stadtteilfest. Beside providing information about our club, we offer our visitors the opportunity to play some games or have the rules explained to them. For the first time, we will be promoting go in addition to chess as well.

After a hiatus of one year, our traditional rapid chess tournament in memory of our honorary president Willi Ellenberger will be held on May 5th 2024 at the Saalbau Nied. End of registration will be at 10:30 am. We would be very glad about a numerous attendance!

Almost one year has passed since our web site had gone black but now, finally, we are back online. As of now, though, we have not yet restored most of the old content. This will be done step by step over the following weeks. Current news, however, will be published again on this site as it used to be usual.
